CSB (Belgium)

Coordinator of ImPRovE project and Consortium. Director of the Herman Deleeck Centre for Social Policy and professor at the University of Antwerp. She holds a Doctorate in Political and Social Sciences. She is president of the Belgian Social Security  Association,  chairperson of the  Board of Governance of  the  Foundation for  International Studies on Social Security and serves on the Research Committee of the International Social Security Association. She is fellow of the Royal Belgian Academy.

Co-coordinator and Consortium Project Manager of ImPRovE. He coordinates the ImPRovE project with Bea Cantillon and, apart from scientific coordination, is responsible for the daily management of the project and Consortium. He holds a PhD in Social Sciences. His central research topic is poverty and minimum income protection in Europe, with a strong methodological focus.

Senior Research Fellow, holds an MSc. degree in economics and a Doctorate in Political and Social Sciences. His work is on poverty and minimum protection, especially in relation to labour market change and migration. At CSB, he directs projects in the areas of labour, migration and minimum income GINI Growing INequalities’ Impacts protection. He is a professor at the University of Antwerp and guest lectures the University of Maastricht Graduate School of Governance. He was member of the LoWER network and member of the EQUALSOC network of excellence.

Consortium Project Management Assistant of ImPRovE. She is assisting with the daily management of the project. She holds two Master's Degrees in Sociology and International Social Policy Analysis and is currently a PhD fellow at the Herman Deleeck Centre for Social Policy.

Researcher, working on a doctorate in social sciences. In recent years, the focus of her research has been on developing reference budgets for social participation. She teaches social policy at the Kempen University College and is a research member of the Centre for Social Policy (University of Antwerp). She contributed to the Peer Review in Social Protection and Social Inclusion and Assessment in Social Inclusion, organised by the EC on “Using reference budgets for drawing up the requirements of a minimum income scheme and assessing adequacy” (2010).

Senior Researcher. His research interests are poverty, income redistribution and the impact on the welfare state on these. He was involved in research on the development reference budgets for social participation.

Project Management Assistant

Senior Researcher, holds a doctorate in social sciences. Her main research interests are in the field of comparative studies on minimum income protection in OECD countries. At CSB she directs projects on model family simulations, minimum income protection benefit levels and activation. She is a member of the EQUALSOC network of excellence.

Senior Researcher, holds a doctorate in applied economics and degrees in philosophy and political and social sciences. At CSB she directs projects on income inequality, microsimulation and migration. She contributed to the OECD study ‘Growing Unequal?’. She is a member of the EUROMOD research community and of the EQUALSOC network of excellence.
