Social Innovation has become a hot topic on the European agenda.
Policy makers, academics, third sector organizations, non-governmental organizations and social entrepreneurs all have great hope in this new paradigm for social intervention, which mobilizes the creativity and commitment of civil society organizations and social entrepreneurs to address pressing social needs and societal challenges. The current interest in developing more systematic ways to identify, stimulate, assess, disperse and institutionalize social innovations entails a range of challenging questions on how the diversity of actors and the multi-level nature of social innovations can be effectively governed.
The ImPRovE research consortium is setting up a major comparative research endeavor to analyze these challenges for social innovative actions and policies in the field of poverty reductions. In this context, we organise several stakeholder workshops to discuss the governance challenges for social innovation. The results of the workshop will be of great help to refine the hypotheses underlying this research project, finetune the methodology and prepare the selection of 30 cases that will be studied in detail.
Attendance to the workshop is only possible with an invitation.
